2010 Cannon Find

This swivel gun was recovered from the Corrigans Wreck. It is the only known bronze swivel gun ever recovered from the 1715 Fleet. Found below this incredible artifact were 22 Two Escudos.

While removing the encrustation during conservation, coins were noticed in the breech of the gun. This video shows the removal of a clump that contained 37 Two Escudos and 40 Four Reales.
